About Martha Marshall My career of over twenty-five years has been devoted to working with public and non-profit organizations. My clients have included over 50 city, county and state governments and non-profit organizations such as The Urban Institute, ICMA, the National Civic League, the Innovation Groups, the Minnesota Citizens League and the Sloan Foundation. I draw upon extensive research and empirical knowledge to identify options with the most immediate value to an organization. I share public organizations’ commitment to delivering high quality and cost-effective services to the people they serve. Having worked within resource constraints for many years, I know how to work quickly and pragmatically to deliver high value for your consulting and training investment. For nearly twenty years, I worked as an internal consultant for Prince William County VA and helped that organization develop a nationally recognized results management system. Throughout my career, I have been active as both a teacher and student of public administration. I received a BA degree from Randolph-Macon Women’s College and a Master of Urban Affairs degree from VA Tech. Currently, I serve as an adjunct faculty member for the Master of Public Administration program at George Mason University. I taught a series of highly popular public budgeting and performance management courses for The University of Vermont Division of Continuing Education for three years. In addition, I am a frequent guest speaker and trainer at public administration membership organizations such as ICMA, ASPA, GFOA and the Innovation Groups. My commitment to public service organizations includes being a member of the National Council of ASPA, serving as a fellow of its Center for Accountability and Performance and serving as a past president of the Northern Virginia Chapter. |
